Selection process

A balanced, thorough process

We are proud to be working with some of the brightest and most experienced people within the industry. A commitment to exceeding our clients' needs and a determination to operate at the heart of business and public decision-making drives our success. We search for individuals who value strong teams, innovation, creativity and excellence.

Our recruitment and selection processes are comprehensive and focused on providing both parties with the information required to support thorough and successful selection. Generally, this includes a candidate application, initial and further interviews, skill tests, pre-tasked exercises and reference checking.

Application process

Applicants should apply on line via 'careers at Ipsos MORI'. You will be asked to complete an online application form, submit your CV and complete an introductory letter. The letter should provide us with insight as to why you would like to join Ipsos MORI, as well as outline the transferable skills you believe would make a positive contribution to our organisation.

Ipsos MORI sources its applicants via carefully chosen channels, including targeted advertising in print and web media, relationships with leading universities, vacancy listings on our web sites, recruitment agencies and by encouraging current employees to refer talented people to us.

Interview

During the interview you may meet people from various parts of our organisation, including members of our dedicated recruitment team, line managers and technical experts, as well as senior executives. All interviews are conducted in a manner that encourages two-way discussion and learning, and several interviews may be required before a decision is made. It is essential that you prepare for the interview, to ensure that you and the company get the most out of the meeting.

Reference checks and offers

We check the references of all successful applicants thoroughly. We may do this with the applicant's consent at any stage of the recruitment and selection process. All offers of employment are subject to the receipt of acceptable references.

Induction

Our induction processes are designed to help you to understand the workings of Ipsos MORI, our teams and our values. Your induction will vary, according to where you are located. Depending on the size of the office you join, you may attend training groups, or receive a one-on-one induction programme. In addition to a general organisational induction, you will also receive on-the-job training specific to your position. The induction programme normally takes approximately three months.
