Fulham Residents Survey

Monday 12 March 2001

  • Results are based on interviews with 500 residents aged 16+.
  • Interviews were carried out face-to-face, in home across 35 sampling points over 12 Wards in Fulham
  • Fieldwork was conducted between 8 - 23 January 2000
  • A representative quota sample was interviewed with quotas set by age, sex and working status.
  • Results are weighted by age, sex and working status to 1991 census data for the Wards covered.
  • Where results do not sum to 100, this may be due to multiple responses, computer rounding or the exclusion of don't knows/not stated.
  • An asterisk (*) represents a value of less than half of one per cent, but not zero.
  • Results are based on all respondents unless otherwise stated.

MORI comment

MORI has seen two press releases about the survey. One is headlined "7 in 10 local residents happy with Fulham stadium plan" which we do not feel fairly reflects the results from the question used in the survey. This assertion is based on the assumption that those who neither support nor oppose or don't know are "happy" with the proposals. This is in contrast to the headline used in the other version of the press release - "7 in 10 local residents do not object to stadium plan". We feel that is a fair reflection of the results.
