Flying Start: Qualitative research with high need families

The Welsh Government commissioned Ipsos MORI to undertake a qualitative study exploring the experiences of high need parents engaging with the Flying Start early years’ services. The research identifies perceived impacts among this group, and will be used in conjunction with the outputs from our wider evaluation of the programme to inform future delivery.

New Ipsos MORI research, conducted on behalf of the Family and Childcare Trust, tracking families coping with the impacts of austerity measures, has shown that financial pressures are increasingly spilling over into family life and putting relationships to the test.
Youth Aspirations in London

London Councils commissioned Ipsos MORI to undertake qualitative and quantitative research with Key Stage 4 pupils (aged 14-16) to investigate aspirations in young people. The research finds that most young people are optimistic about their future; more than four in five (82%) pupils say that they feel positive about their future after Year 11.
