Common Sense in a Changing World
Organisations are full of change survivors - people who have learned to live through organisational change without actually changing. Many change efforts have been unsuccessful because widespread employee support was missing. For successful
implementation and management of change, employee aspects need to be addressed at an early stage.
Internal communication therefore has a vital role to play in change management. Strong leadership, line management and employee involvement should all be tackled with an emphasis on the employee experience. The employee, although possibly not
regarded at the outset as central in the change process, should not be forgotten.
