Investing for the Good of Society

Ipsos MORI were commissioned by NESTA to conduct a research programme which investigated the potential for marketing social investments to mass affluent investors in the UK. Social investments (products that provide an investment return, as well as a benefit to society and social enterprise) are not currently available to private investors, so the key outputs from the research were an understanding of how to effectively market / communicate this new product to its target audience and feedback on a number of products that have been developed specifically for the retail market.

The findings will be used by NESTA to stimulate interest and drive development in the emerging social finance market, as well as give a point of view on the role that the Big Society Bank could play in helping it to grow.
