Who do we think we are?

Britain 2012

Who do we think we are?

Britain is staging the Games of the XXX Olympiad - often described as the ‘greatest show on earth’ - and what happens between 27 July and 12 August will showcase Britain.

Will the world think any better of us?

Yes, probably, according to Ipsos MORI’s polling of national opinion. But what do we Brits think of our own country? Are we well placed to project a confident, compelling image of Britain? Can we exploit this opportunity?

Our paper draws upon survey data and other sources to answer these questions  and explain who we are and to discuss British perspectives, strengths and weaknesses.
