Tomorrow’s listeners: making sound connections

In 2009, Ipsos MediaCT focussed on the Government’s ‘Digital Britain’ Report and its implications for the radio industry. In our 2010 Radio Seminar, we continued future-gazing, but move the focus away from the industry / Government perspective and look more towards tomorrow’s listeners.

Our latest research on what tomorrow’s listeners may be like and where radio fits into their listening repertoires, as well as provide views on what may be required to reach and measure this audience in the future. We were delighted to have a panel of high profile industry leaders presenting their views on this important topic.

Key Topic areas covered in our briefing include:

Tomorrow’s listeners

When do kids’ listening patterns and attitudes switch to young adult choices? What makes these listeners tick? Where does radio fit into the lives of the young multi-platform, iPod generation?

These are some of the questions that we tried to answer showcasing new, bespoke research conducted for the seminar.

Speakers:

Margo Swadley • Head of Audiences - BBC Audio & Music
