Investigating attitudes to climate change among individuals, businesses and government

The Environment Unit is a specialist team of research professionals who focus on five themes: climate change, energy waste and resource management, sustainable homes, sustainable transport and sustainable lifestyles. We are interested in the scope for behaviour change among individuals, businesses and across government.

Our recent research includes:

Tipping Point or Turning Point: Social Marketing & Climate Change. Drawing on our extensive research, this report focuses on the public attitudes to climate change and the scope for low carbon lifestyles moving forward.

Eco Chic or Eco Geek: The Desirability of Sustainable Homes. With sustainability becoming increasingly important in the housing field, we recently undertook an important and influential study of the demand for eco housing.

Recycling and Waste Management. Having undertaken over 100 recycling studies, we hold a wide range of data on waste and recycling, and local authority performance, and the main findings are published in this report.

World Environment Poll. This report provides an insight into the key actions that people are taking to tackle climate change, what else they feel they could be doing and what is preventing them.

Swindles. Inconvenient truths and armchair environmentalism.

Intervene on climate change … just don't tax us.
