Bobby Duffy presented some of the initial findings from this paper, speaking alongside Dr Graham Gardner and Professor Hilary Russell at an event organised by Shared Intelligence 'What Is The Added Value Of The Community-Based Partnership Approach? Lessons from the New Deal for Communities programme and beyond'. The paper is due for publication in Autumn 2007.

Sustainable Urban Neighbourhood Initiative: The Consumer Perspective
The Ipsos MORI Social Research Institute was asked to talk at a conference on the Sustainable Urban Neighbourhood Initiative, run by the Building Research Establishment. This conference looked to provide some answers to the problems associated with creating sustainable urban housing, in light of the need to provide 3.8m new homes by 2016. The presentation focused on the consumer perspective, and presented data on whether either sustainable or urban living can be "sold" to the public in general, and what their main concerns will be.
