From measuring tenant satisfaction to evaluating policy initiatives, we are ideally placed to provide a range of innovative and bespoke housing research services.  For the Local Housing Research team, it is not just about measuring satisfaction levels but understanding resident needs, their aspirations and, above all, assessing what this means for the landlord.  

Our Housing Frontiers work is widely recognised across the sector, providing a more sophisticated analysis of satisfaction levels that takes into account local characteristics and adding valuable context to our survey analysis.

At the heart of our approach is the provision of housing research solutions to help landlords deliver tailored and appropriate services for their residents. We have in place a team of housing research specialists that combine strong sector knowledge with methodological expertise, including:

 

• Survey methods: From face-to-face and telephone interviews to postal and online questionnaires we can advise on the most suitable and cost-effective methods;

 

• Quantitative and qualitative approaches: We increasingly use mixed methods to enrich our understanding of the issues. Whether it’s investigating the reasons for tenant satisfaction through focus groups or assessing the policy views of key stakeholders through depth interviews, we have expertise in applying a range of approaches;

 

• Questionnaire design: We’re able to draw on the collective wealth of the Ipsos MORI Social Research Institute for benchmarking questions but are equally happy to develop and test bespoke questions to meet specific housing research needs;

 

• Sampling: We are highly experienced in the design and application of appropriate sampling approaches to ensure collection of rigorous and robust survey results;

 

• Analysis: From Key Driver Analysis to customer segmentation to multi-level modelling, we’ve employed a range of more elaborate analysis techniques to go beyond the headline findings; including Key Driver Analysis to customer segmentation to multi-level modelling.  Plus, by mapping results, we can provide geo-spatial analysis of perceptions data.
