What is Ipsos MORI's Take?
Participative research is no better or worse than traditional research - it is different. It aims to arrive at shared solutions and to empower participants.
We advocate using a mixture of methods to solving client problems, including participative, qualitative and quantitative work as appropriate.
We recognise that participative research can be variable in the quality of both the processes used and the outputs produced. As such, we are running an industry wide debate about the application of these techniques to ensure that everyone operates within the same guidelines and adheres to similar ethical principles.
