The detailed analysis of the National Survey of Third Sector Organisations is now available at www.nstso.com, a bespoke website set-up enabling people to analyse the results to the survey in a number of ways, at both a national and local level. A report to accompany the detailed analysis tool is also available for download on the website.
The National Survey of Third Sector Organisations, the largest ever survey of its kind in the sector, was conducted via a self-completion postal or online questionnaire between September and December 2008. A total of 104,391 organisations were invited to take part and 48,939 responded, achieving an impressive response rate of 47%.
The survey explored the relationship between third sector organisations and local statutory bodies so that, for the first time, all local authorities could be judged on their performance in creating an environment for a thriving third sector.
