Telephone (CATI) Surveys
Ipsos MORI has one of the largest custom built, in-house telephone operations in the UK. We conducted over 350,000 interviews in 2012 alone from our CATI (computer assisted telephone interviewing) teams operating in the UK. Using CATI increases the accuracy and comparability of data as it allows complex questionnaires to be programmed and, by linking CATI to dialers, enables significant increases in the speed and efficiency of data collected. The dialler technology also allows us to offer full voice recording and remote monitoring of interviews.
The London site specialises in centralised, international data collection and has particular expertise in delivering complex, business-to-business projects across a wide range of markets. The Ipsos Group has more than 2,000 CATI stations around the world and Ipsos MORI regularly links in with our North American and Asian call centres to provide clients with round-the-clock global coverage.
Our Edinburgh centre focuses on the UK market and is experienced at delivering both consumer and complex business-to-business studies according to our stringent quality excellence procedures. We have a number of quantitative and qualitative specialist teams who are experts in engaging with different audiences from business people, politicians, medical professionals, financial experts, opinion leaders, consumers and citizens from all walks of life. In essence, we specialise in engaging with real people in real situations leading real lives.
Telephone teams are supported by our in-house specialist statistical sampling team who advise on survey design and provide sample representative of the population being studied, and the data delivery teams who code, process and provide the data deliverables.
