Data Collection Overview
Ipsos MORI operates one of the largest data collection and processing facilities in the UK, operating across four sites. Working closely with our Research Specialisms, we provide a tailored service according to the requirements of each client and each project. Our services cover all data collection methodologies, processing and delivery, and are supported by a specialist statistical sampling unit and a software development team specialising in developing bespoke solutions for clients. The data processing and delivery teams provide clients with user-friendly, automated customised reports. Each team uses a Management Information System allowing real time access to the status of a project; budget, productivity, quality control status and schedule so that each element can be efficiently tracked at any time.
Our data collection teams are expert in researching the views of real people, in real situations, leading real lives whether these be consumers, citizens, business people or those that are typically seen as difficult to reach such as elite, opinion-formers and ethnic minorities.
In addition to bespoke research on behalf of specific clients, we conduct the following regular Key Audience Research: a suite of multi-client studies examining the attitudes and opinions of elite, opinion-forming audiences including captains of industry, politicans, NGOs and journalists and Omnibus services accessing consumers both in the UK and across the World.
These studies are a very cost-effective way of assessing such audiences, as the costs are spread across the organisations sponsoring each study, giving specific insights without having to carry out bespoke research.
